Buyer takeaway

Approve a sample only after testing the actual soap, power option and installation you intend to sell. Record the conditions and results so any failure can be reproduced before the bulk order.

Buyer decision table

Decision pointWhat to specify or verify
Set a repeatable baselineUse the same soap batch, reservoir level, output setting and trial count when comparing revisions. Record the actual counts, such as missed doses per trial, alongside photos and observations.
Isolate a failureChange one condition at a time. If a unit stops dispensing, record whether the sensor responded, the pump ran and soap reached the nozzle. That separates sensing, power and flow issues for follow-up.
Retest a correctionKeep the failed condition in the test record and repeat it on the revised sample. Confirm the new revision, the outcome and any remaining limits in writing before approving the order.

Detailed guide

1. Record the sample configuration

Record the model and revision, soap formula, fill level, power source, output setting and mounting position. Agree the number of trials and the acceptance criteria with the supplier before testing. Compare samples under the same conditions.

2. Check foam output and restart

Use the intended foaming soap and follow the priming instructions. Run repeated dispenses at each setting you plan to sell, then repeat after a refill and an agreed idle period. Record missed doses, changes in foam appearance and any extra priming needed.

3. Separate nozzle drips from reservoir leaks

Dry the outside after filling. Inspect the reservoir joint and base while the sample rests in its normal position. Check the nozzle separately after dispensing. Agree a separate transport test if the unit will ship filled or if the packaging must protect it in a specific orientation.

4. Test sensing in the actual installation

Check activation with normal hand movements and leave the dispenser idle to look for unintended dispensing. Repeat under the expected lighting and near the sink or a reflective surface. Record placement, triggers and misses so the supplier can reproduce an issue.

5. Check low power and sign off the sample

For rechargeable models, verify the charging indicator and output near the low-battery warning. For battery-powered models, confirm behavior near the replacement point. Record each check as pass, fail or retest, attach photos or video, and confirm the approved revision before placing the order.

Buyer questions

How do I compare two dispenser samples fairly?

Use the same soap batch, reservoir level, output setting and trial count when comparing revisions. Record the actual counts, such as missed doses per trial, alongside photos and observations.

What evidence should I collect if the sample stops dispensing?

Change one condition at a time. If a unit stops dispensing, record whether the sensor responded, the pump ran and soap reached the nozzle. That separates sensing, power and flow issues for follow-up.
