Buyer takeaway
Choose wall mounting when space is tight and the wall can support the bracket. Choose countertop placement when buyers need to move the dispenser or cannot attach a mount. Confirm refill and charging access in both setups.
Buyer decision table
| Decision point | What to specify or verify |
|---|---|
| Small or shared sinks | Compare the usable counter area, clearance above and below the unit, and the route to remove a full reservoir. A sketch with dimensions is more useful than a general preference for wall mounting. |
| Mount and accessories | Confirm which bracket, adhesive or screws are included, where they fit and how the wall should be prepared. Verify the final instructions using the sample and the intended surface. |
| Daily maintenance | Run a refill and cleaning trial on the final installation. Watch for spills during removal, inaccessible charging ports and sensor activation while wiping around the unit. |
Detailed guide
Illustrative JGD design concepts
Start with the sink layout
Choose a wall-mounted design if counter space is limited and the wall can support the specified bracket. Choose a countertop model if shoppers need to move the unit or cannot attach a bracket. For a dual-placement design, sample both setups and confirm what comes in the box.
Wall mount: check the surface and refill clearance
Confirm whether the mount is adhesive or screw-fixed. For adhesive mounting, agree the surface, preparation and curing time with the supplier, then test with a filled reservoir. Check that users can remove or refill the reservoir and connect the charger in the installed position.
Countertop: check stability and sensor placement
Try the dispenser on the intended countertop with the reservoir full and nearly empty. Check wobble and slipping, room for a hand under the nozzle, and whether a nearby basin, reflective surface or object affects sensing. Confirm that the base is easy to wipe around.
Make the placement part of the purchase brief
Send a photo or sketch of the installation area, the wall material or counter dimensions, the target reservoir size and the intended charging method. Ask for a sample with the proposed bracket, cable and instructions so the team can review the whole setup.
